Northrop Grumman Corporation - Systems Engineer: Space Sector

February 2021 - Present

  • Designs and develops the digital architecture for a capability-centric Strategic Plan and incorporation with the program’s schedule authoritative source of truth utilizing Jira, automation through Python scripting, and Confluence to support over 50 teams with varying frameworks
  • Leads a six-person cross-functional team of software engineers, data analysts, and business analysts to develop and deliver program-wide technical metrics and data visualization to the customer, providing transparent data of progression utilizing hundreds of data points through Jira and Tableau
  • Develops and architects over 80 system-level capabilities based on customer requirements and reviewed through Cameo diagrams in order to baseline the technical functionality of a system
  • Leads technical review changes through Program Change Boards by developing baseline system-level capabilities and presenting at program-wide technical review boards for discussion and approval of over ten reviewers
  • Led a team of six interns by managing and tracking an average of 180 story points of work, supporting career development efforts, and serving as a Scrum Master to deliver team work on a Lean-Agile cadence

  • Lead DevSecOps (DSO) Pathfinders (on-contract programs and one capture) and metrics efforts by serving as the liaison between leadership and 40+ Pathfinder team members
  • Pioneered the first Northrop Grumman Dojo 2.0 by leading and contributing to the creation of Dojo strategy, daily stand-ups, Dojo Coach on-boarding, Jira and Confluence
  • Execute acquisition of an on-prem instance of CodeTogether, a virtual pair-programming tool

  • Founded start-up to teach elementary, middle, and high school students the fundamentals of coding in a projectand team-based setting
  • Prepares and delivers curriculum on Python, Java with Processing, basic cryptography, web development, and app development to about ten students per class
  • Dedicates four hours of teaching weekly for 3-6 months at a time, in addition to time spent developing and improving the &TECH curriculum
  • Hosted an &TECH all-day open house to the Frederick, MD community and showcased students’ tech work
  • Launching the first youth-centered hackathon in Frederick, MD in 2021
